Williamsburg Run for the Dream Half

Started by Steven C Overgard. Last reply by Daphne Edwards Jun 3. 1 Reply

This great race is usually held on the first weekend of June. This year they fixed the parking problem and the race started at the Williamsburg Visitor Center. Since the weather in June can be hot and humid, the race kicks off at 7:00 AM. The course winds through Colonial Williamsburg, then to Carters Grove Country Road nature area.  There is some elevation changes so be prepared for some hill climbing on the way back to the historic areas of Colonial Williamsburg. The race concludes at the…Continue

If ever in the Denver, Colorado area in May look into the Colfax Marathon & Half Marathon.Ran the half marathon there this past weekend and a very nice course, lots of people (7000 runners), nice family finish area with vendors and very well organized. The course starts at City Park in Denver and runs through and around the park for the first two miles. At mile two you enter the Denver Zoo and run past the various wildlife and birds for an entire mile. You then enter onto a street lined…Continue

The Dipsea

Running the Dipsea was a privilege - hopefully I'll get to do it again someday. And, next time I won't have to start in the very back (it is staggered with the fastest runners starting last).

Here's a video tour of the "course" - it is officially a point to point race - however you want to get to the beach (by foot); i.e., shortcuts are permitted.…

News and Updates

There was a rainbow of color as the Prince George participants ran by Saturday morning....we hope that you had a good time if you were one of them!

To see the results, you can go to Race Results->2014 Results, or click here.

Some participants didn't have ages or color codes on their bibs, so we were unable to put them in their age groups. If you are one of these people, or know one of these people, please let us know the ages so that we can put them in their correct places. They are listed at the end of the results. Thanks!
To see them, you can go to Race Results->2014 Results, or click here.

As a reminder, you only have 30 days to submit corrections for the races that have been run since the last update, which was 05/09. So the following races are up for correction: Run The Crater 5k/8M, Twlight 3.5M, Race for the Cause 5k, Movin' & Groovin' 5k.
Although there were a few raindrops this morning for the Movin' & Groovin' 5k, there was still a great turnout! Many congratulations to the committee that has organized this race for so many years and done such a great job raising money for Pancreatic Cancer!

It was a beautiful morning for the Race for the Cause 5k, and we thank everybody who came out to run and help! We hope to see you again next year!

Please join us Wednesday nights at Longstreet's Deli, 302 N. Sycamore St, Petersburg, VA 23803 for the Tri-Cities Roadrunners Wednesday Evening Fun Run Series. We start at 6PM, and water and appetizers are provided after the run!

Since this is a Fun Run there are no formal courses or any course support; however, Dave Dickson has made up some cue sheets that runners can take with them to provide some directions.
We had wonderful weather for our 34th annual Twilight Delightfully Different 3.5 Miler. We hope that everybody who attended had a great time!
