Running Strong Since 1980
New gate access procedures will go into effect at Fort Lee in April.
The revised policy requires all non-DoD ID cardholders to obtain a (National
Crime Information Center, or NCIC-III) criminal background check before
entering post. The policy requires senior commanders to deny installation
access to un-cleared contractors and visitors based on the results of
background checks that contain credible derogatory information indicating
the individual may present a threat to the good order, discipline and/or
health and safety of the Army community.
The main Visitor Control Center, where the background checks will be
conducted, will be located at the Lee Avenue gate welcome center and will be
open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays. An after-hours Visitor Control
Center will be located at the Sisisky Boulevard gate.
